Late Post: First Trimester

I wrote this post eleven weeks ago. I am now 22 weeks prego. I'm kind of bummed that I never shared it you. It's kind of funny looking back to see what I wrote about. My own personal journal....I have so much to share with you guys...including the gender! Some of you may already know the results because you follow me on Instagram! CHEATERS! Just kidding. Enjoy reading my first trimester bitch fest!

First Trimester:

I'm done with my first trimester of pregnancy! It's been interesting. I started bleeding the first month of my pregnancy and visiting the E.R. for blood work and an ultrasound. Everything turned out to be okay, but I've been on exercise restrictions since then. I went from being able to take spin classes and moderate walking to only light walking.

My symptoms have been a nuisance. I'm having trouble sleeping on my stomach and staying asleep through the night. That alone wears me out. The heartburn has been moderate to extreme and the nausea subsided about three weeks ago. HOORAY!

I'm struggling with is not being able to exercise much. If I walk for too long I start contracting. I haven't scheduled to see the doctor yet because as soon as I stop walking and relax, the contractions go away. It's not normal, but I'm just monitoring myself closely until my next scheduled routine visit.
I'm supposed to do blood work soon because I had gestational diabetes when I had my first son. I'm really dreading it because I have to sit at the lab for two hours. I'm A.D.D. and I have a hard time with that. I'll have to bring my phone and phone charger to keep me company. I just remembered that the building has no Internet connection. DARN IT! I'll have to bring a pile of magazines. BOOORING!

As I write this I am 11 weeks prego. Once I hit 12 weeks I'll be out of the danger zone. I can't wait!

When I had my last prenatal visit the doctor said that I hadn't gained any weight and that the baby was doing great! I'm trying to avoid excessive weight gain this time so that makes me really happy. I gained 80 pounds with my first pregnancy and I gained 35 pounds with my second pregnancy so I'm trying really hard to not gain so much weight this time around.
It's amazing to see how different each pregnancy is. I feel like I'm struggling a little more with this pregnancy than the other ones. I wonder if it has anything to do with my age. I'm really trying to embrace this pregnancy because it will be the last time I ever have a baby, but it's been kind of rough. It could be worse. LOL. Trying to stay positive. When it really comes down to it, I just want a happy healthy baby.

I can't wait to find out what the sex of the baby is! I'm ready to go shopping for baby stuff! I kind of already started. I hope I'm right because some of it is already gender based. LOL. I can't help it....

So here's the gender of the baby....can you guess what it is?!

Well, that's it guys!! My first trimester....I'm still pretty amazed at how each pregnancy is so different. Hope you enjoyed!! To be continued.....

What was first trimester like for you mommas out there?
