Time Flies When You're Having Fun...

Time flies when you're having fun....
My mom and I in 1980.

My mom is from Guatemala and my dad is from Mexico. I was born in California.  I am Latina. I love my family and I love my culture. I wouldn't have it any other way.

Disneyland in the 80's

I love that I can share experiences like Disneyland with my children. I had fun memories at Disneyland with my parents.
Post Water polo/ Swim Practice

In high school, I was involved in sports. I mainly stuck to Water Polo and Swimming.  In this picture, I had just come home from swim practice.
Our trip to Tijuana, Mexico in 1997 . We were only dating & his parents were with us.

Hubby and I met in high school. I couldn't be on the swim team during my junior year so I tried out for the wrestling team. That's where I met my hubby. The guys on the team told my mom that "they wanted to wrestle me" She made me quit the team two weeks later. My hubby graduated in 1997 and I graduated in 1998. In February of 1998, he enlisted in the U.S. Army for three years. My future hubby was in basic training. He proposed to me right after basic training and I couldn't wait to be with the love of my life.
 Our First Christmas. 1998.

We married on July 31, 1998 and celebrated out first Christmas in Fort Bragg, North Carolina. I was a military wife for three years.
 Cairo, Egypt. 2001.

We traveled and lived a military life. We both agreed that we didn't want to raise kids in the military. We had the opportunity to visit Egypt during one of his deployments. It was so much fun! Once he finished his contract with the army we moved back to California and  we both went back to school.

And here we are now....proud parents of two healthy beautiful boys. We are so lucky.
Pretty soon they will grow up, go bald (I hope not), live there lives, and have their own story to tell and we will be old and gray watching our family grow. We are so blessed. Except I think that I might need a little plastic surgery when I get there....
Do you ever think about what life will be like when your kids are grown?
