I can't even keep track of how many applications we've both submitted for work. Right now my hubby is working on getting crossed trained in M.R.I. and possibly C.T. Once he's crossed trained in either or both of these specialties, he will have a better chance of finding work. You'd think a Veteran would have a better chance of getting hired. The economy is very...very...very bad. I'm so sorry for those people that are unemployed. I hope it gets better for everyone...soon.
One of our major downfalls is that we're down a car. My hubby was in a car accident with our two year old son. It was devastating. A back tire blew out and caused our car to go out of control. It was on a dangerous road and they spun around a few times. They are both doing great. I'm so grateful to God that no one was hurt. Unfortunately, we don't have the money to fix our car. The costs are too high.
I would have to say that I am pretty depressed about the entire situation. It's the last thing we needed to add to our family struggles. I just keep reminding myself to be thankful for my family's health and safety. It's what keeps me strong. I thank God every day.
I also thank God for blessing us with great people in our lives. We've had so many people help us out in so many ways. My babysitter for helping me with the kids. She's been a huge blessing. Our friends Scott and Debbie. We just met this wonderful couple a few months ago. When our car broke down Scott offered to help us repair our other car. He also told us that he would help us repair our wrecked car when had enough money so that we wouldn't have to worry about service fees. He is saving us thousands. I'm also grateful for our friends and family's kind words of faith and hope. I'm trying to stay strong and keep a positive outlook on everything. I'm trying to not be selfish because I know we could be doing worse.
How have you been affected by the economy? What do you do to cope with your struggles?
