Around We Go

Summer is almost coming to an end. It's been so much fun! It's funny because life has been somewhat hard for us. I'm only working a few hours here and there and my hubby isn't getting paid as much as he used to. Regardless, we've managed to get by and still have a wonderful time this summer!

We've been applying to different jobs and it's really tough right now finding work. Even being in the medical field, we can't seem to find anything. Especially something local. The competition is so high and everyone is looking for work!

We've discussed that we may have to consider relocating because there is hardly any work available for us where we live. I was hoping to finally settle down and not have to move again, but we may have to.

My hubby has also considered travel work. What does that mean for us? Well, I've considered homeschooling the kids and traveling with him! I'm not one to home school my kids, but I would rather try it and keep our family together. If it doesn't work out, I can always come back home and stay with the kids.

Another option is working for the federal government. My husband has Veterans Preference and has a higher chance of getting hired through them. The only catch is being open to working anywhere in the country. Maybe even overseas...

Here are a few of the places we might move to (if we can't find anything locally):
Northern California, Hawaii, Michigan, Virginia, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Idaho, North Carolina, New York, Tennessee, South Carolina, Italy, Spain, U.K., and Japan. We're not sure where life is taking us. I'm kind of sad, but at the same time excited! I just want to know which direction where going in so I can plan ahead. I just hope we can find something soon!

If you had to move somewhere, where would you want to go? Why?

  1. We've put thought to northern California, Oregon, and Washington. I'm a little worried that Washington might be a little too cold and rainy for us. Northern California might be a little too expensive. Maybe Oregon? But I'd be so lonely without my family. But it almost seems for sure that Charles and I both don't want to end up staying in the Riverside area for the rest of our lives. Good luck girly! I know its tough! *hugs*
