Fall and Winter!!

I LOVE FALL AND I LOVE WINTER!!
I love being warm, snuggling in bed with my family, relaxing, drinking hot drinks like tea and apple cider. It's really nice when you can stay home, not rush, and enjoy being a family. I love going to pumpkin patches, carving pumpkins, dressing my kids up for halloween and trick or treating. But...yes, there's a BUT....what I don't like is the stress of coordinating the holidays. I wish we could be at two places at one time. I wish we could buy everyone presents. I wish the holidays weren't so stressful. At the same time, I am thankful that we are all healthy, we have food, and a roof over our heads.

October 2009: An Evening at the Pumpkin Patch.
Jacob was so tired, but I managed to get a nice pose and a smirk.
Jeremy's quick smile (he was in a rush to go play) and Jacob's "what are you doing?" look pose.

My two cutie pies being silly.

Jacob had a blast feeding the animals. He wasn't shy at all.

Jeremy had so much fun. He's so gentle with animals.

A Look AHead Into My Next Painting: My next project has to be a painting of a collage of two or more cultures integrated together. It took me a few hours and tons of copies to put this picture together. I had tons of choices, but the teacher said some of my collages were TOO planned. She wanted something spontaneous. She started tearing my pictures and making tons of copies. It was a cross between Asia, India, and Egypt.

After $5 dollars worth of copies. I finally found a pattern that I liked.

My collage will be a painting of Egypt and India integrated together. It will be challenging trying to decide what colors to use, but at the same time I'm really excited on the outcome. What do you think?
