Cabin Fever, Baby Bloggy Boot Camp, and Ergobaby Carriers equals One Happy Momma!

Cabin Fever

Being a new mom for the third time is the most joyous and happiest experience any mom can have. But after a while, momma needs a break! Can you say cabin fever? LOL. Don't get me wrong, I love my kids and I love spending time with them, but sometimes I  need alone time. I need time to get away and do something that I really enjoy doing. I mean...I have THREE KIDS NOW! HOLY MOLY!

For my sanity, I need to have hobby's aside from my kids. It's nice to get away from wiping boogers, changing diapers, and dealing with hungry kids. AND LET ME TELL YOU! Kids are ALWAYS hungry. It doesn't matter how many times you've fed them. They're HUNGRY!

Baby Bloggy Bootcamp

A few weeks ago, I had the opportunity to get away! There was a call for new moms to attend a blog conference to learn about how to improve your blog. CAN YOU SAY "SIGN ME UP!!!"? I jumped at the opportunity! I'm your girl!! And let me tell you...it was SO MUCH FUN!

Baby Bloggy Boot Camp was held at the Bahia Hotel in San Diego, CA. It was raining, but it was still so beautiful! I almost peed my pants when I arrived at the hotel! I was nervous, excited, and so happy to be there! The combo of the ocean, the beautiful hotel, learning about improving my blog, and meeting fellow bloggers had me so giddy inside.
The View From the Conference Room
I was so lucky to be there. When I arrived, I came in and just enjoyed the moment. I looked around the room. Everything was so beautifully done. I sat at the very front. Something I would never do in school. but this was something I LOVED to do! I wanted to soak everything in from Baby Bloggy Bootcamp! I had my phone, my camera, my notepad, and pen ready to go! AND NO KIDS!
Whitney Moss and Heather Fleet from RookieMoms.com discussing how to create compelling content for moms.

After a few minutes everyone started to come in. The tables and chairs started filling up. I was curious to see who would come sit at the table where I sat at. First, it was Danielle from Simm Works Family Blog. She was very sweet to introduce herself and sat right beside me. Then, it was Trista from A Purpose Driven Wife, another sweet and friendly blogger that introduced herself to me. After that it was Heather from The Third Boob. She was really funny. One more girl came to sit at our table. She had a new baby and she was really nice. She didn't blog. She worked in Social Media, but unfortunately, I never caught her name.
Tiffany Romero and Francesca Banducci talking about how to get sponsored content.

The conference started shortly after the room was filled. The time went by so fast. Time flies when you're having fun!  I learned so many new things about how to become a better blogger and I also learned what I could do to put myself out there on Social Media!

What stuck to me the most was learning about the importance of starting up a Google Plus account for my blog. Google Plus can be pretty intimidating for new timers, but learning about it really opened up my eyes about Social Media. Let's just say...I've been working on it: CurviMamiPetite Google Plus Page (I'm still working out the kinks).

Around lunch time we had a 30 minute break to help ourselves to drinks and snacks, get to know the sponsors, and socialize with other bloggers. Unfortunately, I didn't get to mingle much because I was focused on using the potty (mom talk) and grabbing a drink and snack. My shyness kind of took over too. Something I don't plan on doing at a future event. If you ever see me, come say HI!
Once our break was over, we had reps from ErgoBaby come to talk to us about their carriers. I was not one to wear a baby carrier, but learning about ErgoBaby and experiencing how comfortable they were really opened my eyes! They demonstrated how to use the baby swaddler, the wrap, and the Ergobaby 360 carrier properly and the exciting part about the whole thing is that we were going to be provided with all of these for FREE to try them out for ourselves! YEAH!!!! You can now call me an official "Baby Wearer"....I never liked using or wearing carriers because they were so uncomfortable, but I AM A CHANGED WOMAN! (Review will be done on another post.)

Amy Storch and Danielle Wiley discuss "Mommy Blogging".

Once ErgoBaby was done with their demonstration, Baby Boot Camp ended with a discussion about "mommy blogging". It was extremely informative and I'm so glad I attended this event. SOOO GLAD!! I feel like Baby Bloggy Boot Camp was a push forward to improve myself and  to make myself better for anyone who's interested in reading my blog!
Check out the SWAG! Yes! An Ergobaby 360 (which hasn't come out yet! EEK!), an ErgoBaby wrap, an ErgoBaby swaddler, and products from Honest.com!

I still can't believe we received all these goodies! I'm so thankful for everyone who coordinated this event and the sponsors that provided all of these things for us new moms!
Excuse the hot mess that I am. LOL. Those were definitely candid shots. Well, I guess they all were, but the bottom pictures were my hot mess days. LOL.

My little girl Arielle is thankful too! She gets to be carried around with momma in an ErgoBaby wrap everywhere we go. I also want to add that we were also provided maternity clothes to try out from Liz Lange, but I didn't grab any! What's wrong with me?! LOL. I did have the chance to look at the  maternity clothes and saw that the maternity wear is figure flattering and also offers affordable luxury.  I'm still kicking myself for not bringing any of the clothes home with me. Luckily, I have some of Liz Lange's maternity clothes at home that I wore during my pregnancy so I know they're very figure flattering.

As far as the swag goes, I can't wait to try on the ErgoBaby 360! The last time I tried it on it was too big for Arielle. And the Honest Co. products are still waiting for me to try them out!

Overall, it was an amazing experience and it made me ONE HAPPY MOMMA!

Have you ever been to a blog conference? What did you learn? If you don't blog, would you ever go to a conference to meet bloggers? How do you keep yourself from being shy at an event?

This post is written by me on behalf of Liz Lange and Ergobaby.  Product was provided.
